HSBC Bank Holidays (2023)

Need to know if your local HSBC Bank branch is open or closed on a certain holiday?

All HSBC locations in the United States will be closed on the below dates in the year 2023.

When a fixed-date holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the holiday is observed on Friday or Monday respectively. In 2023, for example, New Year’s is a Sunday so the holiday will be observed on the following Monday.

Holidays which are not listed, such as Lincoln’s Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Election Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve, are normal banking business days unless, of course, the day falls on a Sunday. Call your HSBC Bank branch to confirm their hours, as some bank branches may close early for the holiday.

If you are initiating a bank transaction close to a holiday, make sure to allow for an extra day or two for processing. Also, checks deposited using a HSBC Bank ATM on a holiday will be considered to be received the next business day.
